Cancer Does Not Get The Final Word

Not when God is part of the story.
When cancer entered my life, it forced me to confront questions most people try not to think about.
Questions about life. Questions about purpose. Questions about whether healing was even possible.
I know how overwhelming that moment can feel when a doctor speaks the word cancer. Everything suddenly changes. Your plans, your sense of security, even the way you think about your future.
Many people quietly wonder:
Is this the end of the road ?Is fighting even worth it? What does God have to do with this diagnosis?
These are the questions I faced too.
When Cancer Changes Everything
When I was diagnosed with terminal cancer, I suddenly found myself standing at a crossroads.
One path was fear.
The other was faith.
Doctors gave their prognosis. Statistics were presented. The medical facts were serious. But I
realized something important very early in my journey:
Facts are real — but they are not always the final truth.
God’s Word had something to say about healing, life, and the purpose of our days on this earth.
And that truth began to reshape how I faced cancer.
The Questions Cancer Forces Us to Ask
Cancer has a way of stripping life down to what really matters.
Many people begin asking deeper questions like:
Why am I here?
Is God involved in my health and healing?
Do I have a future beyond this diagnosis?
What role do faith and lifestyle play in recovery?
For me, those questions led to an unexpected discovery.
God designed the human body with an incredible capacity to heal.
But healing involves more than just the physical body.
Healing Involves the Whole Person
Through my journey, I learned that true healing addresses three areas of life:
Body - Learning how nutrition, detoxification, and supporting the immune system play a role in recovery.
Soul - Managing fear, stress, emotional wounds, and the thoughts we allow to dominate our minds.
Spirit - Strengthening faith, understanding God’s promises, and partnering with Him in the healing process.
Cancer affects all three areas. Healing must involve all three as well.
This body–soul–spirit approach became the foundation of everything I teach today.
What Scripture Says About Healing
One of the scriptures that gave me tremendous strength during my battle was:
“Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases.”— Psalm 103:2–3
Another powerful promise appears in Isaiah:
“And by His stripe we are healed.”— Isaiah 53:5
These verses changed how I viewed my situation.
Instead of seeing myself only as a patient fighting disease, I began to see myself as someone partnering with God for healing and life.
That shift matters more than most people realize.
The Moment Everything Changed
My journey with cancer lasted eighteen months.
There were moments of fear. Moments of uncertainty. Moments when it would have been easier to give up.
But every day I made a decision:
To believe God’s promises.
To care for my body.
To guard my thoughts.
To speak life over my future.
Then one day, the words I had believed finally came.
The cancer was gone.
And I was free.
Why I Now Help Others Facing Cancer
After walking through cancer myself, I realized something heartbreaking.
Many people facing cancer feel completely alone.
They receive medical advice, but very little guidance about:
Faith during illness
Emotional resilience
Supporting the body’s healing systems
How lifestyle and spiritual alignment affect recovery
That’s why I began sharing my story and what I learned along the way.
Today, I help others through:
Cancer coaching
Faith-based healing resources
My book, Life, Cancer and God
Education about the body–soul–spirit approach to healing
My goal is not simply to help people survive cancer.
It’s to help them reclaim hope, faith, and a purposeful future.
If You Are Facing Cancer Right Now
Please hear this clearly:
It is not time to give up.
You still have purpose. You still have hope. And your story is not finished.
Many people have discovered that when they begin addressing healing from the inside out—body, soul, and spirit—new possibilities begin to open.
You may be at the very beginning of your journey. Or you may have been battling for years.
Either way, encouragement and guidance can make an enormous difference.
