Jesus said, "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water." John 7:38 This verse talks about your spirit (your heart). But what about your body? You and I are made of 75% water. The brain is 85% water. So are you drinking enough clean water? Here are some quick facts about your body and water:

A 2% drop in body water can cause short term memory loss, trouble with basic math, difficulty in focusing on a computer screen.

75% of American’s are chronically dehydrated.

Lack of water is the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue and depression.

A 3% dehydration will slow down your metabolism.

6 glasses of water a day decreases your risk of colon cancer by 45%

5 glasses of water a day decreases your risk of breast cancer by 79%

5 glasses of water a day decreases your risk of bladder cancer by 50%

In 37% of Americans thirst is mistaken for hunger pains

Water is a natural blood thinner

Water aids in joint lubrication, decreasing joint pain.

Here's a Great Formula for how much water you need every day:

Body weight X .67 = ounces of Water per day you drink. Easier to remember: 2/3 body weight is your water in ounces. Example: body weight is 180 lbs. 2/3 of that is 120 lbs. You need 120 ounces of water each day.
